I strive to be the kind of artist that brings glory to God. Armed with camera or brush I have a deep desire to find and share the beauty around me that others might miss. I look closely when manipulating composition and love playing up color. I paint almost exclusively from my own photography.
Amy Taylor was born in Arlington, Texas and grew up drawing and painting in Allen. In college, she spent a semester studying in Florence, and fell in love with photography while exploring Europe. In 2009, Amy received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She paints in oil, acrylic and watercolor, has experience serving as Fine Art Coordinator for the independent film Seasons of Gray (2011), and painting murals as well as live paintings in worship services. One of her paintings is currently featured as part of the Henderson Art Project, and is on display at the corner of Richard and Homer, in Dallas, Texas.
